Title:Angry Birds Playground – Animals: An around the world habitat adventure!

Publisher:National Geographic Kids

Call No.:580 ANG

While Angry Birds were away, the naughty pigs stole and hid their eggs. Angry Birds were so worried that they looked all over the world. They searched far and wide for their eggs and got help from different kinds of animals.
Angry Birds travelled to South America to visit the largest rainforest in the world, the Amazon Rainforest. Whilst in the Amazon Rainforest they saw the third biggest cat in the world — jaguar. Jaguars are animals which sleep in the daytime and hunt for food at night. They mainly eat deer, monkeys and fish. Angry Birds asked if they had seen their eggs. However, they had not.
Then Angry Birds met some sloths in the rainforest which can grow up to 0.8m tall. They feed themselves with leaves. They are very good swimmers but they are one of the slowest animals in the world. They had not seen Angry Birds’ eggs either. Angry Birds did not give up. They flew to the desert in North America. A desert is dry and windy and is home to many animals. Angry Birds met owls there. They can be 50 to 60cm long when they stretch open their wings. The owls had no idea where the eggs were.
Where do you think the eggs are? Angry Birds need your help! Borrow the book from the school library and look for the eggs with them. On your journey, you can also learn a lot about different habitats and the animals.
